Editorial policy and disclosures

How tools get tested, how rankings are decided, and exactly where money enters the picture.

Testing

Every tool we rank is used on a live account for at least four weeks with the same brief and the same reviewer. We record time-to-publish per post, how often output needed a rewrite, and where the free tier stopped. Comparisons are re-tested before each update, and the update month appears at the top of the page.

Rankings

Rankings are set by the editorial team and cannot be bought. No vendor reviews a page before publication, and no vendor has approval rights over wording. Where a tool is genuinely the wrong choice for a segment of readers, we say so on the same page.

Affiliate links

Some links to third-party software earn us a commission if you subscribe, at no extra cost to you. Commission rates never influence placement or scoring, and we regularly recommend tools that pay us nothing — including free ones. Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure.

Our own products

We sell a social media platform and managed services. We do not rank our own products against competitors in editorial comparisons, because we cannot do that impartially.

Use of AI

AI assists with research summarisation and first drafts of routine sections. Every published page is edited and fact-checked by a human who is accountable for it. Test results, benchmarks, and opinions are never generated.

Corrections

Prices, limits, and features change frequently. When we correct a page we note what changed and when. Report an error via the contact page.
