Caption Optimizer
Paste a caption once and see how it behaves everywhere: character limits, where each platform cuts the preview, hashtag counts, and hook strength.
Three small changes doubled our weekly reach. Here's the one that mattered most 👇
81 characters · visible on every platform preview
preview cuts at ~125 chars · hashtags 0/12
preview cuts at ~90 chars · hashtags 0/6
preview cuts at ~210 chars · hashtags 0/4
preview cuts at ~280 chars · hashtags 0/3
preview cuts at ~190 chars · hashtags 0/5
preview cuts at ~250 chars · hashtags 0/3

What actually breaks a caption
Almost every caption problem is a truncation problem. Feeds show a preview and hide the rest behind “more”, so the first line has to carry the entire promise of the post. If your hook lands after character 130 on Instagram or 90 on TikTok, most people never read it.
A checklist that holds up
- Put the hook in the first sentence — no throat-clearing.
- Break long paragraphs into single-idea lines; mobile screens are narrow.
- Keep hashtags below the recommended count and make each one describe the post.
- One call to action, at the end, phrased as a specific next step.
- Emoji as punctuation, not decoration — two or three is plenty.
Why the limits differ
Each platform trades off feed density against depth. X caps you at 280 characters, so every word is structural. LinkedIn allows 3,000 but rewards a strong 200-character opening. Instagram allows 2,200 yet shows about 125 in-feed. Write once, then trim per platform instead of publishing identical text everywhere.

Questions worth answering
Clear answers for the questions that usually appear after the first click.
Are the free tools really free?
Yes. The browser-based tools are available without a sign-up or email gate. You can copy or download the output and edit it before publishing.
Does AI write the final post for me?
It creates a useful first draft. You should add your experience, proof, offer, and voice before publishing. The best output is a starting point, not a substitute for judgment.
Which tool should I use first?
Use the post idea generator when you need angles, the content calendar generator when you need structure, and the caption or hook tools when you already know what you want to say.
How do the tools connect to a publishing platform?
The free tools help with individual tasks. When you need recurring calendars, approvals, multi-destination publishing, and reporting in one workflow, explore the platform comparison pages.
